Free Music, Legally

I thought the library was just good for books and DVDs, but I just came across a cool free service.  It’s called Freegal Music and it allows you to download up to three MP3 tracks per week as part of your library membership (free at participating libraries, including the Los Angeles Public Library system).

This is a great way to explore a wide range of music from classical to pop.  You can quickly create an eclectic playlist with everything from the English Chamber Orchestra to Marc Anthony to Beyonce.  I’m off to download now…
